4. WHY EMK ARTISTRY COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION

EMK Artistry collects personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide professional hairstyling and makeup services;

  • manage enquiries, bookings and appointments;

  • communicate with you about your appointment;

  • process payments for services;

  • improve services and the client experience;

  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and

  • promote EMK Artistry (with your consent, i.e. via tagging you in social media posts).

5. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

EMK Artistry may disclose your personal information in limited circumstances as follows:

  • to payment processors when securing payment for deposits and services (i.e. EMK Artistry uses Square for processing payments);

  • online booking platforms and/or scheduling software (i.e. EMK Artistry uses Wix Bookings);

  • with your consent only, to other service providers directly relevant to your appointment (i.e. secondary makeup artists and/or hairstylists, where necessary); and

  • accountants, legal advisers, or government authorities where required by law.

EMK Artistry takes reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure. Information may be stored electronically or in physical form and is only accessible to authorised persons.

You may request access to your personal information held by EMK Artistry either request corrections if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. It is highly recommended you provide EMK Artistry with accurate and complete information so EMK Artistry can provide the best service delivery for your appointment.
